Just incredible custom service, blown away by their ability and willingness to help and pivot for a sensitive autistic teen. We arrived and the environment was a bit overstimulating between the music and the wall art and photographs. He ran out immediately. It had taken weeks to convince him to have a haircut. He was however happily sitting outside and I knew we were down to me cutting his hair (which was another disaster waiting to happen, gulp!) I went to the staff, who I had called ahead of time to find the most the most accommodating stylist to be a good fit, and said, "I know this is really weird but any chance you could trim his hair outside"? A huge, ridiculous request I knew, but instead of judging they talked and said we could do it out back. Oh my gosh not only did they, they set up a chair in a lovely calm, quiet private space. MELANIE was amazing! She not only gave him a great haircut but chatted with him about gaming and made him feel so comfortable. He left saying, "she's my new person" which is very VERY rare for him. Another staff member kept checking in to see if she needed anything, he was great, and another associate brought me a card from their Winter Park location of someone else who was known to be great with sensory challenges. As a mom who has to take 20 extra steps and create strategies for even the most basic of things such as a haircut I couldn't be more grateful and happy with the incredible service I received. Thank you for treating me and my son with kindness and understanding. SO GRATEFUL!
